The celebrations will be held in the forecourt of council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre from 10am to 1pm.
The event is one of the highlights of council’s children’s week festivities.
Council coordinator of community development Cath Brennan explained the importance of the event.
“We thought we’d host National Grandparents Day to celebrate the contributions grandparents and older people make to their families and communities,” she said.
“Grandparents Day reminds us all of the support parents and grandparents provide, which we can sometimes take for granted.”
