And his hard work for Hill Top Soccer Club was recently rewarded with a life membership.
Napper, who became the club’s 15th life member received the honour at the club’s senior presentation night.
“It was a huge surprise, but also a great honour. Growing up mostly in and around rugby league, I didn’t really know a great deal about soccer until my son started playing juniors for Hill Top in 2011,” he said.
“I started out as the under-8s photographer, then writing the club newsletter followed. Former president Mark Johnson then engaged in a bit of arm-twisting to make me treasurer. Every year my dossier of duties grew that little bit more.
