Group 6 held its annual Player of the Year night last Friday with plenty of Highlands talent being recognised.
Mittagong reserve grade captain Simon Reid was named reserve grade player of the year (along with Brad Hopkins from Appin) and Bowral Blues captain Mark Williams was awarded the same honour in second division.
And the awards didn’t stop there for Williams.
He and Jai Ferguson (Warragamba Wombats) were the leading try scorers in the second division competition this year and Williams also received the Volunteer of the Year award.
Bowral player Todd Fairbairn didn’t go home empty handed either.
He won the second division highest point scorer award.
In the Ladies League Tag division two, the Lions Jess Edwards was crowned player of the year.
