Warragamba hosted the minor finals, with some great football ondisplay, including a couple of upsets.
Four Highlands teams were in action across the two days:
- Under-13B: Camden Blue 14 Lost Bowral Kookaburras 26 Won
- Under-14A's: Moss Vale Dragons 16 Lost Warragamba Wombats 38 Won
- Under-16A': Mittagong Lions 20 Won Thirlmere Roosters 6 Lost
- Under-11B-1: Moss Vale Dragons 30 Won Camden Red 12 Lost
Warragamba juniors did an outstanding job hosting the games over the two days, with their volunteers working hard and going out of their way to make everyone felt welcome.
Mittagong juniors host the major finals this weekend, where some close matches are expected to be played.
The winning teams will progress to the grand finals on September 1 and 2 at The Oaks.
The defeated teams will go through to the preliminary finals at Kirkham on August 25 and 26, for their second chance to play in the big game. There will be three games this weekend with Highlands teams.
On Saturday, Mittagong under-14Bs will face Narellan Jets at 11am.
In the afternoon, the Lions will take on Appin Dogs in the under-15/16 competition with kick off at 1pm.. On Sunday, the under-11B-1 Bowral Kookaburras will face Warragamba Wombats at 11.40am.
