Following the success of her two previous books, Mabin turned her focus to lives of Australia’s primary producers.
"I have covered the two industries that dictate our lives: agriculture and transport. With The Grower I wanted to explore what life on a farm is really all about and how it's being shaped by our ever-changing Australian identity," Mabin said.
What she discovered was the beauty, the hardship, the joy and the romance of the lives of people that keep Australia alive.
"The Grower is a visual feast, a journey into the heart of our country."
