The Bandits were beaten by the Casula Lakers Outers in the MBL division 2B elimination semi-final 10-1.
Played at Gilchrist Oval, Campbelltown, the Lakers side did to the Bandits as they had to the Camden Red Sox All Stars the previous week - jumped out to a big lead in the first two innings and then held firm while the rest of the game played out.
For the Bandits, the highlights included scoring of the (home) run and a huge 'over the fence' hit to right field by Ty Jones.
Andrew Lewis’ consistently strong pitching also helped the Bandits and the hard work of Ramon Perez also played well at Short Stop, having to take several catches and stop many bouncing drives throughout the match.
The Bandits simply could not make their bats work, meaning they could not capitalise on their tight fielding through the middle innings.
The loss meant the end of the winter season for club, with the division one Wyld Stallyns having previously exited after the regular rounds.
The Lakers Outers will move on to grand final day on August 18, playing the Campbelltown Cubs for the division 2B title.
Southern Stars club members will now put their feet up until round one of the upcoming summer 2018-19 season which starts on September 7-8.
The club is still looking for players to fill the last spots in its sides - registrations are being accepted until the end of Thursday (Aug 16) and can be made via the link on Facebook.
