China Aoyuan Property Group subsidiary Aoyuan International has acquired two adjoining lots totalling 123.7 hectares in Moss Vale for close to $100 million.

The Moss Vale land is the Chelsea Gardens Coomungie sites, which were rezoned from rural to residential in November by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. last year.
Aoyuan is planning a masterplan integrated residential community, with 20 per cent of the site put to green open spaces and recreational facilities. The site bound by Yarrawa Road and Lovelle Street curves around the Moss Vale Golf Course. Land lots are expected to range in size from 400sqm through to 2000sqm, according to Aoyuan.
“We’ve walked the Moss Vale site so many times and already have a deep appreciation for the special heritage of the community and the land and the role it played as one of Australia’s earliest settlements,” Aoyuan International’s head of development Adrian Liaw said.
“We feel excited, but humbled, to have the chance to shepherd the area into this new chapter.” The group, which has developments across Australia, Canada and Hong Kong, has earmarked the Moss Vale site to be the ‘flagship’ of their Australian house and land subdivision portfolio.
The deal brings the group’s Sydney development pipeline to over $2 billion, across apartments and land, including Coomeroo Estate at Bargo, comprised of 167 residential blocks ranging in size from 700sqm to 5000sqm.
The group’s portfolio also comprises of Sydney CBD apartments One30 Hyde Park, Mirabell in Turramurra, Altessa 888 Gordon and Maison 188 Maroubra.
