The carnival was held in Moorebank on July 8 where the Highlands carried out seven 20-minute games.
The Highlands won four games and had three draws.
The carnival provided teams the opportunity to compete against one another in preparation for the state championships.
Southern Highlands coach Michael Good said it was a tough day that left the team feeling fatigued.
“The team worked really hard on defense and developed strong teamwork and passing,” Good said.
The experience also provided input into how well the team played together and configured team positions.
Good said this victory left the team feeling confident for the state championships in Wagga Wagga next weekend.
“We just need to work on a stronger team play and defense and attacking out wide,” he said.
