Tessa Good was named in not one but two representative teams in May.
Good, who attends Chevalier College, was selected in the ISA (Independent Sports Association) open hockey team for the fifth consecutive year, and was also selected in the NSWCIS (Combined Independent Schools) team.
The team will play in the NSW tri-series tournament against the NSWCCS (Combined Catholic Schools) and NSWCHS (Combined High Schools) teams in late July.
Tessa also has been selected in the NSW U18 Hockey Squad as a result of an excellent tournament representing Southern Highlands Hockey Association at the NSW U18 Hockey Championships.
She will continue training with the squad each Monday night and attending camps before final team selection later this year.
The BDSA senior winner for May is Tom Parkes.
Parkes was selected in the NSWCIS Open Rugby League Squad.
He attended a camp at Narrabeen in June for final selection into the NSWCIS team and has been selected as a shadow.
The team will compete at the Australian Championships in July.
Parks also plays rugby league for Mittagong under-18s and rugby union in the Chevalier 1st XV.
While not training and playing some sort of rugby, Parkes is studying for his higher school certificate (HSC) at Chevalier College.
The BDSA committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month to vote on the senior (over 16 years) and junior award winners.
Please nominate a worthy athlete by emailing details of their achievements in the previous month tobdsawards1@gmail.com. For more information head to the new website www.bdsa.org.au.
