The parish will celebrate 130 years since the official blessing of the parish church in Garrett Street, Moss Vale and St Paul’s Primary School will celebrate 70 years of education.
The parish and school solemnities will commence on June 25 with a solemn mass at 9.30am.
A history walk will then officially open in the school hall at 10.30am followed by a morning tea.
The history display will feature photos, historical documents, parish and school records, vestments and vessels.
The walk will open each day from 8.30am to 5pm during the week from June 25 until June 29.
Special events will include a retreat day on June 27, stone painting and a concert with musician Tim Hart on June 27.
Celebrations will culminate on June 29, the feast day of Saints Peter and Paul.
Solemn masses will be held at 8am at St Peter’s, Burrawang and 5pm at St Paul’s joined by the new bishop, Brian Mascord.
A special parish dinner will finalise the celebrations.
The dinner will be held at the Moss Vale RSL Club at 6.30pm.
RSVP’s are compulsory for those who wish to attend and need to be made by June 22.
