An English Study talk forstudents preparing for this year’s fast-approaching Higher School Certificate will be held on July 9. It will cover the English area of study – Discovery.
The talk will be presented by Larry Grumley, veteran HSC exam marker, study guide author and Head Teacher of English at Catherine McAuley College in Westmead.
Children’s and youth services librarian Trudy Eccleston said “Larry brings over 30 years of experience teaching in both Australia and abroad.”
“He has a fantastic rapport with the students and is able to explain things clearly and concisely,” she said.
Helping students prepare for their exams, the talk will focus on the ways in which discovery is represented in texts and exam requirements.
The free session will run from 2.00pm to 3.30pm on July 9 in the Henrietta Rose Room next to Bowral Library on Bendooley Street, Bowral.
Bookings are essential and can be made at: www.hscenglishseminar.eventbrite.com.au
