The team of Ben Garard, Craig Horne, Caitlin Danyi and Jess Cooper finished 19th from the best 28 teams from across Australia, NZ and Asia.
With only the top five teams qualifying to attend the CrossFit Games in America later this year, the Benton team did not make the cut.
Workouts included events like rope climbs, deadlifts, rowing, cycling, running, hand stand walks and pushups, squats and thrusters.
Dozens of Benton Crossfit gym members from the Highlands plus friends and family travelled to Sydney over the three-day event to watch the team in action.
Garard said it was a tough competition but he was proud of how the team performed.
“Considering this was the first time Benton Crossfit fielded a team at the Australasian Regional Crossfit Championships, each of us gave it everything we had, supported by the cheers of our members, friends and family in the stands.”
