The routines performed at the Mittagong RSL on May 18 ranged from musical theatre, to jazz, to hip hop, and even some flamenco.
The lineup of stars included Jasamine Patterson, James Wilson, Patrick Glanville, Carol Brown, Joh Bailey, Frank Kirkpatrick, Stacey Peters, Adam Towers and Brooke Gibbs.
Joh Bailey took home the trophy for most funds raised with more than $13,000 in donations for Cancer Council NSW.
Patrick Glanville and Monique Barrios dazzled the judges with their sparkling red costumes and won best costume, which was made by Suzie Wilkin from Moss Vale.
Stacey Peters was popular among the crowd and won the people’s choice award.
She received $500 in donations on the night and received the most crowd votes.
Patrick and Monique claimed their second trophy when they won the judges’ choice award with their musical theatre piece from The Greatest Showman.
Patrick said the duo had trained for two weeks.
“Mon was the best teacher and I really enjoyed our time together,” he said.
“Winning both trophies was a shock but the icing on the cake.
“It was a fantastic fundraiser. Having been a part of many, it was by far the most entertaining.”
This was the second year the event was held and raised around $53,000.
The money raised from the event will be used to continue the Southern Highlands GAPS program to transport those who need cancer treatment to hospital.
