For the first time in Australia, The Highlands Theatre Group will bring to life the story of young women who left Ireland between 1848 and 1851 under the Orphan Immigration Scheme. They hoped to escape the horrors and devastation of the Irish Potato Famine as well as the brutality of their own lives.
