On the road, the Highlanders went down to Oran Park/Gregory Hills 22-12 in the Group 6 competition.
Captain Chris Conquest said a lack of execution let the side down and they were far from their best footy.
“We just dropped too much ball and turned lost possession too easily,” he said.
“The effort was there, we just lacked the execution.”
Pete Randazzo and Mitchell Granger scored the tries for Bundanoon.
Conquest said the team would need to work on its concentration ahead of its next match in two weeks time.
“We’re putting ourselves under pressure and we need to do the simple things and get through our sets. We’re too worried about scoring.”
Bundanoon’s next match will be against Narellan at Narellan and Conquest said the focus would be on holding the ball, getting a strong start and improving the completion rate.
“It’ll be a hard match for us.”
In a tough loss, Conquest praised Jack Chase’s effort off the bench.
Chase dislocated his shoulder and will be out for several weeks.
“The work he did off the bench was quite good. He’ll be missed,” Conquest said.
The Highlanders are two wins and two losses so far this season and sit fifth on the second division cup ladder.
