Seaforth Captain Reardon won the toss and batted first. Following an early breakthrough by Fitzsimons Seaforth then settled the innings with Martin and Gatehouse taking the score to 81 before the HSCC bowlers were able to peg them back and take some wickets.
Stand-in wicket keeper Herborn excelled in the difficult conditions. Williamson, Migliorini and Morri finished the Seaforth innings some big hitting to take the score to 9-228 off 40 overs. Martin 33, Gatehouse 27, Williamson 62*, Cole 16, Baldwin 22, Migliorini 23. Noble 2 -16, Lindsay 2 -11, Talbert 1 -16, De Hosson 1–20, Robertson 2–8.
Fairbrother entered the bowling attack with support from Morri and slick keeping by Lintvelt, who took three catches and left HSCC at 5-122. Debs and Chance got the score moving in the right direction, before Haigh and Talbert took the HSCC to victory in the 39th over with one wicket in hand at 9–231.
