Disability Employment Services (DES) CEO Karen Rainbow said, APM’s experience and intimate understanding of the disability labour market would help local job seekers and employers.
“One of the secrets to APM’s continued success over many years has been the dedication of our teams to improving life outcomes for people with a disability,” she said.
“We have the understanding of local job markets to make a difference in people’s lives and help employers find great staff.”
Ms Rainbow said there were many benefits to hiring people with a disability, including wage subsidies and workplace modifications.
“One of the cornerstones of our success is that our consultants spend a lot of time understanding the individual needs of job seekers and work with them to get ready for employment, including training and other assistance.”
“We then carefully align their skills with the needs of an employer to make sure there is a strong match, and once they have a job, we are there to support them and help out when needed,” Ms Rainbow said.
The location of the Bowral office is yet to be decided.
