Tuesday, January 2 was a day of rain hail and shine. What began as a warm morning with tops of 26 degrees in Bowral quickly turned to a thunderstorm.
There were reports of hail in Hill Top, Mittagong, Bowral, East Bowral and Wingello, while heavy rain was also reported in Moss Vale.
The Bureau of Meterology forecast a top of 21 degrees in Bowral on Wednesday.
The Bureau said the next few days are set to warm up before reaching a scorching 36 degrees on Sunday and then dropping back to 29 degrees on Monday.
There will be a high (70%) chance of showers on Sunday, most likely later in the day with light winds becoming northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h during the morning.
NSW Ambulance have reminded residents to keep cool ahead of the warm weather.
They have advised people to stay out of the direct sun - this is particularly important for the elderly and very young, drink plenty of water and if outdoors, carry a water bottle and wear clothing that protects you from the sun and use sunscreen.
