On Friday, officers from the Hume Local Area Command and Police Transport Command ran a transport operation in the Southern Highlands.
Officers patrolled trains and two buses.
They found seven drug offences, five transport infringement notices were issued and one criminal infringement was issued after a knife was found on a person at Moss Vale.
Bowral Police Chief Inspector Brendan Bernie said the overall results of the operation were pleasing.
“It was a joint operation to try and ensure people were compliant and reduce antisocial behaviour,” he said.
“While there were a few incidents that were disappointing to see, overall in the Highlands the behaviour of people in and around our transport area was good.”
A similar operation was held earlier in the year and Chief Inspector Bernie said they would continue to run transport operations in the area.
“We will continue to run these operations to ensure people behave themselves on public transport and all community members feel safe on our buses and trains.”
