The 57th Tulip Time will kick off on September 12 with a thank you breakfast at Corbett Gardens where the community can get their first look at the ‘underwater garden’, with this year’s theme Under the Sea.
Preparations have been underway for months and Destination Southern Highlands manager Steve Rosa said everything was on track.
Students from across the shire have also been busy creating jellyfish that will feature among the garden’s displays.
It has been three years since the window dressing competition has run but it’s back in 2017.
The Southern Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Industry has taken the competition on board and the winning window will be announced next weekend after the parade.
Mr Rosa said the parade had about 30 floats and walking groups registered.
This year all entrants must include the theme colour orange in their display along with either tulips or under the sea decorations.
Despite some wild wind over the past few days, Mr Rosa said it had not affected the tulips and expected them to be in full bloom for the duration of the festival.
Corbett Gardens will be closed on Sunday and Monday as final preparations are made for the festival.
The official launch will be at 8am on Tuesday morning.
It will be a big weekend on September 16 and 17 with the Tulip Time Mile on 1.30pm on Saturday and followed by the always popular street parade at 2.30pm.
