The team put in its best efforts and defeated the second-placed Albion Park Crows.
Months of training came together as players produced a team effort, with some individual brilliance thrown in for good measure.
Two goals were scored in the first quarter, which set the team up for the remainder of what was a thrilling and victorious game.
Hawks coach Matt Griffiths tactical use of his interchange meant that Hawks were never headed on the scoreboard and led at every break.
“I’m really proud of the efforts of the playing group and the support of the parents,” Griffiths said.
“I reckon we will challenging for a position in the finals next season.”
The Auskick team also took on the Crows, in a fun game for all.
The under 9s demonstrated its dedication, and took to the field for an intra-club game, despite having a bye.
