Judging for the annual awards gets underway this week, following the announcement of finalists.
The anonymous judges will look at all aspects of excellent customer service, including everything from greeting and customer acknowledgement to detailed product knowledge and value for money. They may also look at other aspects of the business, such as its website.
Finalist businesses can also submit information about themselves including the history of the business, staff training and motivation, work in the community and environmental sustainability efforts as well as customer testimonials. The full list of finalists will soon be available at www.thebusinessawards.com.au.
The highlight of each year’s awards is the presentation evening, which includes a three-course meal and entertainment as well as the announcement of the category winners. This will be held on September 20.
Precedent Productions managing director and awards founder Steve Loe said the awards ceremony was a fun night where business owners and staff took a well-deserved break to relax and enjoy each other’s company while celebrating their success as finalists.
“The food and service at Mittagong RSL Club is always superb, as is the entertainment,” he said. “There’s an incredible atmosphere at the awards evening – a real buzz in the air. Business owners and their staff work incredibly hard, so it’s great to see everyone smiling, talking and enjoying themselves.” To book tickets call Precedent Productions on 8577 5060 or visit www.thebusinessawards.com.
“The Southern Highlands Local Business Awards is only possible with the unwavering support of Major Sponsors, Hume Coal and NOVA Employment and Support Sponsors, Wingecarribee Shire Council, Boral Cement Berrima, Clifton Accountants and Flower Flower,” Mr Loe said.
