The young Highlander is a part of the NSW Speedway Kart Club and recently competed in round three of the club gokart trials at Nepean Raceway.
Max was one of the youngest in his category but still managed to win his first and second heat and came in second in the third heat.
He finished the day off with another victory in the feature category.
Max competed against children up to the age of 13 and still managed to take a number of victories.
Max’s mum Kristy Bevan said her son was pleased with his efforts.
“He was really happy with himself and he had a great time,” she said.
This was Max’s first run this year, after rounds one and two were washed out.
“He was really excited to get back out on the track and do some racing,” Kristy said.
Max will compete in the next club round in Gosford on May 21 in preparation for the upcoming NSW and Australian Titles.
The NSW Titles will be held in June in Gosford and the Australian Titles will be held in September.
“He will be doing lots of training and racing to prepare but he’s really looking forward to both events,” Kristy said.
