The Cancer Council bus runs every weekday, picking up patients and their carers at set locations in the Highlands and returning passengers following treatment.
The bus can collect patients who have booked to travel from the designated stops, starting at Moss Vale (9am), then Bowral, Mittagong,Braemar, Hill Top and Colo Vale ON/OFF ramp,Bargo, Tahmoor and Picton.
It arrives at Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre at approximately 10.45am.
Passengers are invited to make at $5 donation per day towards the cost of petrol and servicing.
Please note that the bus is staffed by Volunteers.
There is no medical equipment or staff on board.
The General and Practical Support service (GAPS) can help patients who need car transport between their home and the bus pickup.
Most important: If you are using the service, please inform the nursing staff at Macarthur so that they can schedule your treatment to coincide with the arrival of the bus.
