The 40th Highlands Gathering will be held April 1, where Bundanoon will be transformed into a Scottish town.
About 15,000 people are expected to visit the village and take part in celebrations.
Brigadoon vice president Alaistair said celebrations would go ahead – rain, hail or shine.
“Skin is waterproof, it’s only your clothes that get wet,” he said.
“If you’ve never been to Brigadoon, you’re missing out on the best day of your life.”
The day will start with pipe band performances, followed by a street parade made up of six floats, 90 clansmen and 24 pipe bands.
The opening ceremony will feature massed pipes and drums and Cheiftain of the Day Jimmy Barnes, followed by Scottish country dancing.
The Highland Heavyweight Championship will take place, consisting of traditional Highland Games. There will be the caber toss, weight throw and weight over the bar.
There will also be the popular Stones of Manhood event.
The Tartan Warriors will compete in this test of strength, where they must lift a set of five round stones ranging from 90kgs to 165kgs in weight.
2016 champion Luke Reynolds will be back to see if he can hold on to his title.
“This is the most prestigious stone competition for strongmen in Australia,” he said.
If you have a child under four, dress them in tartan and you could win a prize with the Bonnie Bairds competition.
There will be the tartan tribute fashion display, dancing dogs from the Southern Highlands Kennel and Obedience Club, the kilted dash and the egg challenge.
“This is the best Scottish gathering in the Southern Hemisphere,” Mr Saunders said.
“This is Australia with a wee bit of Scottish flavour.”
Brigadoon will begin with entertainment at 8.00am on April 1, before the parade kicks off at 9.15am.
