The junior Southern Branch soccer teams played an in-house gala day to brush up on their skills ahead of the 2017 season.
The under-9s, 10s, 11s and 12s Southern Branch teams played several matches against each other on Sunday, March 12,
The club has two teams based in both Nowra and the Southern Highlands.
Both teams play a game each weekend.
Scores are not kept in Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) matches but a winner and loser is determined.
All the kids played hard against each other and none of the teams ever backed down. The end result was a bonding day for returning and new parents and children were able to get to know each other.

The SAP teams are made up of pinnacle players who have been named the best of the best for their age groups from both areas.
Southern Branch under-11s coach Craig Ash said the gala day was used as a bonding session for the young players.
“All the kids played hard against each other and none of the teams ever backed down,” he said.
“There were laughs and serious looks in all of the games.”

The Southern Branch covers the Highlands, Far South Coast, Shoalhaven, Southern Tablelands and Eurobodalla associations.
The Southern Branch will commence the season this coming weekend.
The teams will face off against a number of different teams this season, including the Wollongong Wolves, St George Football Club, Sutherland Sharks and Football South Coast just to name a few.
The 9s and 10s will play their first gala day at Valentine Park on March 19 and the 11s and 12s will play the Sutherland Sharks FC in Nowra.
