About 1000 people poured onto Bradman Oval in Bowral on January 22 looking for inspiration for their upcoming nuptials.
Attendees and vendors alike commended the open-plan layout of the venue and the relaxed, friendly vibe of the event.
Steph and Tony from Rustic Charm Wedding and Portrait Photography, based in Mittagong, said the fair had been great for their growing business. “We’ve loved it,” Steph said. “We’ve had three bookings locked in at the fair already.”
Event co-ordinator Donna McIntosh of Manage My Event said there were queues at the gates for the first 90 minutes, with the total number of brides in attendance expected to exceed 400.
Stunning floating gowns with soft trains and contemporary two-piece lace and skirt combinations were among the on-trend displays at the catwalk show, which featured designs by Studio C Bridal and White Meadow Bridal.
Major sponsor Your Event Solution provided the pagodas and marquees used by exhibitors, along with the day’s feature ‘sperry tent’ used for stage events.
Sales manager Craig Lapinskie said the white, big-top style structure was an in-demand look for outdoor weddings. “The raised ceiling is great in the heat and opens up options for lighting and decor,” he said.
