Local Rural Fire Service (RFS) and Fire and Rescue NSW teams are carrying out a hazard reduction operation from October 20 to 22.
However, any unattended fires should be reported. If you do see one, call 000.
Several hazard reduction burns have been scheduled for the Wingecarribee, as stated on the RFS website.
A large burn is being managed by teams on Mount Alexandra Reserve, near McCallums Road in Colo Vale. Crews are also controlling the burn off at Mount Gibraltar in Mittagong.
Other hazard reduction burns scheduled for October 21 include:
- Hanging Rock Road, Sutton Forest
- Forest Road, Wingello
Burns scheduled for October 22 include:
- Wilson Drive, Balmoral
- Joadja Road, Joadja
