SOCIAL bowlers were greeted by windy conditions recently at Bowral Bowling Club.
The wind meant many bowlers were running out chasing after their hats.
Bill Dodwell and Neil Lewis defeated Barry O'Brien and Robin Staples by 23-22.
Team Staples held a lead of 20-8 after 14 ends but was beaten at the finish.
When the game concluded on the 21st, both teams were locked at 22-all.
Dodwell and Lewis had scored 14 shots in sevens to make a comeback.
In an extra end, Dodwell and Lewis were first to the jack.
O'Brien and Staples could not get the shot bowl out.
Dodwell and Lewis completed their big comeback to win by one shot.
Bob Kennett and Jack Davis defeated Bernie Michael and Peter Morales by 15-14.
Kennett and Davis set the pace early and led 7-3 after seven ends.
In a turnaround, Michael and Morales hit the lead on the 17th end.
But Kennett and Davis came home strongly to win the match by one shot.
