AFL premiership winning defender Nick Smith headlined the Sydney Swans' annual visit to the Highlands this week.
Smith has played more than 140 AFL games and was part of Sydney side that won the premiership in 2012.
He was joined on the trip to Bowral by fellow Swans George Hewett and Kaleb Riddington.
Smith and Hewett are on the club's senior list while Riddington is a Swans academy member.
The three Swans were in town as part of the club's Australia Post AFL Community Camp this week.
Smith, Hewett and Riddington met young Highlands Aussie rules players at Loseby Park on Monday.
They also visited Highlands schools and hospitals on Tuesday.
Hewett said it was good to visit the Southern Highlands.
"It's nice and warm today, the weather is perfect," he said.
"It's always a good part of the year to get out and meet the kids."
The Swans have been busily training ahead of the 2016 AFL season, which begins in March.
Hewett said the Swans had been working hard during the pre-season.
"It's been pretty solid training and we've covered a lot more kilometres running this year," he said.
"It's been tough but good."
Hewett said Sydney hoped to book a spot in the 2016 finals series.
"We aim to make the finals and go from there," he said.
"If we can do that, anything can happen."
Hewett, 20, has entered his third year at the Sydney club.
He was picked up by the Swans in the 2013 AFL draft at pick 32.
Hewett is yet to make his AFL debut.
"I hope to get a game or two this year and keep improving," he said.
