THERE is a breath of fresh air at the Moss Vale Pony Club.
The club has announced the introduction of new leaders in the lead-up to its first major event for 2016.
Nikki Dexter and Sarah Spence will take over key roles at the club this year.
Dexter has come on board as instructor, after spending several years at the Highlands Equestrian Centre.
Sarah is set to take the reins as chief instructor from her father Brian.
Club secretary Lucinda Reumer said it was set to be a big year at Moss Vale.
"We are looking to increase membership to complement our new instructors," she said.
"We are a pretty good club for those starting out with pony club.
"We are a small club so we are able to offer more one-on-one attention."
Reumer said the Moss Vale club was "all about the kids".
"We asked the kids what they want to do and focus on the riders," she said.
"There are currently 15 members, aged from seven up to 25 years."
The Moss Vale Pony Club will hold two rallies per month in 2016.
The club's first event will be a Try Before You Sign Day on Sunday, February 7 at the Moss Vale Showground.
Newcomers can try the sport for $25 and the cost includes a barbecue lunch.
Reumer said the club was keen to welcome new members on Sunday.
