Bowral's men's bowlers travelled to Bundanoon.
The format for the cup is played over two sets of nine ends, with a tie-breaker on offer if needed.
Bowral faced off against a committed Bundanoon team.
At the end of play, Bundanoon claimed victory after winning the fours and triples.
Bundanoon only went down in the pairs.
In the fours match, Ken Hodge, John Witney, Keith Stratton and Bob Burnham defeated Noel Fraser, Wade Eaton, George Bott and Greg Lewis.
Team Burnham won the first set by 10-7 and the second set by 9-6.
Bundanoon went to the lead early at 6-3 after five ends in the first set.
The home side held on for a three-shot win.
Bundanoon came from behind in the second set to win.
Bowral led 5-1 after four ends.
But the Bundanoon team struck back through good all-round play to win by three shots.
Tony Gavinet, Peter Kellond and Alan Wray defeated Gordon Lewis, Bill Meredith and Ken Handley.
Team Wray won the first set by 13-6 and the second set by 15-9.
In the first set, Bowral led 6-5 after six ends.
With the tension high, Bundanoon stormed home for a seven-shot win in the opening set.
The second set always looked good for Bundanoon.
With one end to play, team Wray led 10-9.
Bowral was lucky to be this close, but Bundanoon picked up five shots on the last end to win.
The only win Bowral had on the day was in the pairs.
Jim Neely and Dennis Beatty won both of their sets by 13-8 and 13-2 respectively.
In the first set, the Bundanoon team of Mick Hoye and Jack Hoare led 3-2 after four ends.
On the next end, Bowral picked up eight shots and followed this up with aggressive play to secure a comfortable win.
Bowral dominated the second set.
After five ends, Neely and Beatty led 9-0 and they came charging to win by 11 shots.
Overall, Bowral could not stop Bundanoon from taking the points on the day.
Bundanoon will now play Robertson tomorrow.
