ANDREW Storey and his Glebe Magic were edged out on Saturday.
The third-placed Magic met first-placed Sydney City Cobras in the penultimate round of the 2015 Dooleys GMP Ultimate Basketball League (UBL) comp.
However, the match fell short of expectations, with both teams missing key players.
There was still plenty of positives from the game, with a total of 197 points scored.
The Cobras won 103-94 to move one step closer to the minor premiership.
Former Highlander Andrew Storey grabbed yet another double-double for the Magic, finishing with 14 points and 12 boards.
The Magic was regarded as an outside chance for the premiership, given the team's remarkable turn of form in the second half of the competition.
Saturday's loss with an under-strength line-up neither confirmed nor dispelled the Magic's premiership aspirations.
But Glebe will need to be at full strength in the playoffs.
