THE Bundanoon Highlanders began playing football back in 2004 in the Illawarra District Rugby Union competition.
The Highlanders then made a successful transition to rugby league in 2012 in the Group 6 competition.
Bundanoon will celebrate a belated 10-year anniversary as a football club this weekend.
The Highlanders will hold a heritage game in round 16 of the Group 6 second division comp against Bowral Blues at Bundanoon Oval on Saturday at 2.30pm.
The Highlanders will play this game in jerseys ordered specifically for this round.
The jerseys use the same colours the Highlanders played in during its first season in 2004, yet use the pattern design Bundanoon has this year.
After the game, there will be a function held at the Bundanoon club.
There will be live music and the Highlanders will auction heritage jerseys they played in.
The Highlanders extend an invitation to all players, past and present as well as all their families, supporters, sponsors and the Group 6 community to come along.
The club thanks all of its major sponsors for its support.
