In a tradition that is traced back to the very beginnings of the school more than 120 years ago, principal Andrew Barnes said the Maypole Dance was performed every two years.
“It’s a good excuse for the students to dress up and a good excuse for a P and C barbecue,” he said.
Mr Barnes said he was proud of the Year 6 group that graduated on Monday evening.
“They’re a fantastic group and they’re excellent leaders,” he said.
“They have good values and they’ve been good role models for the younger students.”
As the 2014 school year comes to a close, Mr Barnes said 2015 was looking to be a good year for the school.
“We have a full Kindergarten class of 20 and every other class is full,” he said.
“We have more than 95 students enrolled next year, which is good for the school.”
