Barbara Lawson is holding an event called Rescued and Revived, where she will sell upmarket women's clothing to raise funds for White Ribbon Day.
But she can't do it without your help.
Ms Lawson is calling on donations from the public of all sizes and styles of clothing so long as it's in good condition.
Ms Lawson will collect clothing from you on Fridays or Lifeline Moss Vale is a drop off point.
All bags must be clearly marked 'for White Ribbon event'.
Although White Ribbon Day is November 25, Ms Lawson will hold her event on Monday, November 24 to maximise sales.
Ribbons will be available to purchase at the event for $2, which will contribute to sustaining educational campaigns run by the organisation.
"White Ribbon receives limited government support, so it relies heavily on the support of donations and community groups," Ms Lawson said.
Donations for the clothing fair to date have included a sophisticated hand made, cream, satin two-piece with long skirt which would be perfect for a summer wedding, a slinky beaded gown with spaghetti straps and a lowcut back, smart business wear and funky tops.
Ms Lawson said people had been very generous, but she wanted more donations to reach her goal of raising $999 on the day.
"I think violence against women is increasing, and it's not just physical violence," she said.
"It's psychological violence all the way up to rape and murder and it all seems on the rise.
"It's a cause that alarms me, so I thought I'd do something about it."
Rescued and Revived will be held at the Presbyterian Church Hall on Bendooley Street in Bowral from 10am to 4pm on Monday, November 24.
