MOSS VALE'S Jocelyn Mackay continues to make a big impression on Australia's golf circuit.
Mackay has been named as the Berrima District Sports Awards senior winner for September.
The experienced golfer was in great form that month.
Her results were highlighted by recording victory in the NSW Country Championships.
The championships were held over two days at Beverley Park and Ryde-Parramatta Golf Clubs.
It was the second year in a row that Mackay was declared the winner.
In its citation, the Berrima District Sports Awards Committee wrote that Mackay was acknowledged for that win.
"This win won't be the last for Jocelyn as her clear ability, combined with her dedication, will undoubtedly bring more victories in the future," the committee wrote.
In September, Mackay also finished second in the Central Southern Golf Championships.
To cap off her great run of form, Mackay took out the Ladies Club Championships at Moss Vale Golf Club on October 21.
Mackay, who grew up in the Southern Highlands, said it was "pretty special" to be recognised by the Berrima District Sports Awards Committee.
"It's an honour to be (rated) among such elite local sports people," she said.
"At my age I'm very proud.
"You never expect to win these things - you just hope.
"There's no greater honour than being recognised within your local district."
Despite her impressive results, Mackay said she hadn't been able to practise as much as she would like due to work and personal reasons.
"This makes my results harder to predict," she said.
Mackay won't have much time to celebrate her recent achievements.
Her upcoming busy schedule includes the NSW Club Champion of Champions tournament and the Australian Women's Mid Amateur Championships in November.
Both events will be held in Sydney.
Later in the year, Mackay will also contest the District Champions of Champions event in the Highlands.
She gained a spot after winning the Moss Vale club championship.
However, Mackay is particularly focused on putting her best foot forward at the mid amateur championships.
The event will be held at Lynwood Country Club from November 12-14.
The championships are played over 54 holes in a stroke format for players aged 30-54 years.
The Moss Vale golfer said she hoped to finish in the top six on the leaderboard.
"But it's a high expectation - I'm really setting the bar."
