Getting ready to welcome Spring.
It's Tulip Time in Bowral again,
In sun, or wind, and sometimes rain.
The gardens are always a great delight,
With special blooms both pale and bright,
They form a carpet of many hues,
With yellows, purples, and even blues.
They dance as the gentle winds do blow,
Swaying and moving to and fro,
Their colours like rainbows catching the sun,
Alive and glistening, enjoying the fun
As the crystal clear waters flow silently by,
Sparkling like bubbles floating up to the sky.
2. People are thronging everywhere,
Enjoying the tulips so pretty and rare.
Their cameras are clicking this beautiful sight,
To capture earth's glory so lovely and bright.
The children are running to and fro,
Admiring the flowers as they go.
Music floats gently across on the breeze,
While birds twitter overhead up in the trees.
The stalls are displaying their goods and wares,
With hats, and flowers and lavender bears.
The CWA has its scones, jam and cream,
So light and fluffy, they are a dream.
3.The tulips transform as the night lights come on,
Looking radiant and regal as their night cloaks they don.
The magic and wonder of such a sight,
Is full of surprises, joy, and delight.
Gold is the colour for tulips this year,
For Guide Dogs NSW the ACT, and also for here.
So come to the gardens and you will see
God's perfect creation, so lovely and free.
It will lift your spirits up on high,
And make you feel you want to fly.
The tulips of Bowral are here today,
So come and enjoy them while you may.
The Highlands is the place to be,
There's always things to do and see.
