Henriques and Maddinson, an all-rounder and opening batsman, were key members of the NSW side which won the Sheffield Shield domestic first-class competition last season.
The NSW Blues secured the title with a crushing victory on first innings points in the final against Western Australia in March.
Henriques was named man of the match after scoring 140 during the first innings.
Ahead of the 2014/15 season, Henriques and Maddinson were taken on a tour of Bowral's Bradman Museum.
The 2014/15 Australian domestic cricket season officially begins on October 4 when NSW takes on South Australia in a One-Day Cup game in Brisbane.
NSW has played some warm-up matches in the lead-up to the season opener.
Maddinson told the Southern Highland News the NSW team didn't feel under any added pressure to defend its Sheffield Shield title.
"We don't think any differently," he said.
"At the start of any season, we set our sights on winning the Shield and one-day competitions."
Maddinson said it was important that players showed more responsibility in 2014/15.
"We need to show much we want to win it."
Henriques has played three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 matches for Australia.
Maddinson has represented his country in one T20 International.
When asked about ambitions to play for Australia this season, Henriques said the team was playing great cricket of late.
He said his focus was on "playing really well for NSW" and to help "defend the Shield".
Henriques and Maddinson are also members of the Sydney Sixers side in the KFC T20 Big Bash League (BBL).
The Sixers reached the preliminary finals in last season's BBL, before being knocked out by eventual winners Perth Scorchers.
Henriques said Twenty20 was great and had drawn a different crowd of spectactors to the game.
He said he would continue to promote the Sixers and the Big Bash League.
"It's definitely growing over here," he said.
"The spectators love watching it."
Henriques and Maddinson were in Bowral as part of the Toyota Country Blitz through regional NSW.
Henriques said the museum contained a great wealth of cricketing knowledge.
"It's very impressive, very extensive," he said.
Maddinson agreed and said he had been to the museum previously.
"There's always something new here."
Earlier in the day, Henriques and Maddinson were joined by Australian cricket star Shane Watson at the small schools cricket gala day at Hampton Park, Robertson.
