Students are encouraged to try something new each Friday afternoon with interest group classes that run for an hour each week.
This term, NSW Hockey development office Ben Senior will teach students some hockey skills, with creative writing, cooking and drama as some of the other activities on offer.
Teacher/librarian at Exeter Public School Amanda Nash said the activities changed each term and students were encouraged to try something different each time.
"Each group is made up of children ranging from Kindergarten through to Year 6," she said.
"They are able to watch each other and learn from their peers as well as the adult instructor.
"The groups have been fabulous and they are letting kids try something new and out of their comfort zone. "The sessions have been very smooth and full of fun."
