The station, broadcast out of Kazcare Educational Facility (Old Steiner School), features eight presenters that put out about 16 hours of radio, targeting youth.
Station manager Steven Peacock said now the station's future was secure, presenters and the Youth Radio board can go full steam ahead.
"Now we're in a perfect position to put all of our future plans in place," he said.
They offered a training program for aspiring presenters to complete and get their time on the airwaves and are able to enroll up to 30 students a year.
Currently Mr Peacock said there were two positions on the committee available to youth who would have a chance to make decisions on programming and airplay.
He said they were looking for more presenters to jump on board and try their hand at presenting a program, as the equipment is easy to operate, featuring only eight channels.
The station has been on-air for the past few months and he said without community support and the massive contribution of Mitta?gong-Bowral Rotary in building the broadcast room and supplying materials, they wouldn't be where they are now.
Mr Peacock wouldn't give too much away about the changes in motion for the station but said 2WYR would implement them in the coming months and hoped more young talent would join. Email Mr Peacock at steven@youthradio.org.au for more information or phone 0416 216 596.
