The section of road runs from Range Road to Merrigang Street.
Line markings on the road are estimated to take two weeks to finish, weather permitting, with a maximum speed limit of 40km/hour put in place.
Work continues on the rest of the upgrades.
Stage three continues following recent wet weather, along with the remobilisation of resources regarding the rectification of stage one.
Work on the sub base, stabilisation and sub soil drainage are nearly finished for the 1.3km stretch of road north of Aylmerton Road.
Following this and the Easter long weekend, construction will begin for the base course pavement and final seal, and the installation of guard railings, line markings and signage.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by May, 2024.
