The Highlands Golf Club Ladies President, Eileen Baker said the day was to encourage more ladies to improve their health and up their activity level by having a walk around a golf course and joining in the fun
"It was a fantastic day," Ms Baker said.
"There were groups of four and we all took turns. It really was a lot of fun. The whole overall day ran so smoothly."
The event was helped by local bussiness such as Auberjean Ladies Fashion Shop who donated prizes of the value up to $400.
"The winners and runners up got handsome vouchers to use," Ms Baker said.
"We had several other prizes donated as well. There was plenty to go around."
The team of Robin Sim, Valery Leiner, Megan Mireylees and Kerry Whiteman from Wollongong took the day out with a hard fought win.
The runners up were a team from Gibraltar
"I played myself, I was teamed with the ladies from Gibraltar. Sadly I didn't have the best day out on the green," Ms Baker said.
"It's quite funny, I was supposed to be playing with the team that came second but I swapped out at the last minute (laughs). But it was all about having fun."
The competition is held each year and 2020 looks to be already looked forward to.
"The players really seemed to enjoy themselves and they said they would definitely come back again," Ms Baker said.
"Everyone was so nice to each other and the Highlands Golf Club is so receptive to new members so everyone felt at home."
Over 50 ladies turned out to to play on the day.
