Christopher Hilder has scored his best performance yet at his third appearance at the annual Wodapalooza CrossFit Fitness Festival in Miami.

Hilder who is 25 and from Bowral, finished the gruelling, four-day event, which is known as one of the world’s biggest CrossFit competitions.
Hilder finished in fourth place in the individual men’s intermediate division.
That is his best result yet in the three years he has been travelling to the USA for the contest.
Last year he finished 25th.
Hilder, is also a personal trainer in the Southern Highlands and a member of the Benton Crossfit Gym in Braemar.
Also competing in the Wodapalooza’s team competition, with his team of three men, including two Americans, finishing in 16th place in the open division.
The Wodapalooza event, which ran from January 17 to 20, attracted hundreds of the world’s best Crossfitters.
Workouts involved series of rope climbs, sand bag carries, swimming, thrusters, toes to bar, muscle ups, pull-ups, running and bar snatches.
Hilder said his fourth place this year was the result of focused and highly disciplined training he underwent over the last six months.
“I had a better headspace heading to Miami this year,” he said.
“I had more motivation and a clear purpose to do well. My training was also more intense and I worked a lot on my weaknesses.
“I also had more faith in myself this year. I’m very happy with my results at Wodapalooza but I’ll be back next year again to do even better.”

Hilder said his next major event would be the international CrossFit Open online competition later in the month of February.
