All southbound traffic was stopped when a truck unexpectedly caught fire at around 10am on November 20.
A part of the truck underneath had dropped onto the road, causing sparks. Wooden boards at the back of the truck then caught alight and spread onto a median strip on the road.
Police and fire crews arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and closed all southbound traffic as a precaution as fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.
Southbound lanes have now reopened but delays are still expected, drivers are advised to allow for extra travel time.
