In its 22nd year, the Southern Highlands Textile and Fibre Exhibition returns this weekend. The showing is titled ‘Layer Upon Layer’.
Various art works are purely for viewing but there will be garments available for purchase. The fashion parade after the official opening will give spectators a full view of how the outfits will look. Go from sheep the chic this weekend at BDAS.

2 – Six week woman's self-defence course. Friday November 2, 1/8 Davy Street, Mittagong, 6pm-7pm.
Ladies of the Southern Highlands, learn to defend yourself, build up your confidence and make some friends during the process, with a six week self-defence course.
Throughout the program you’ll learn how to perform basic kicks, blocks and strikes. Wear loose fitting clothing and bring a bottle of water.

3 – The Southern Highlands A Celebration, Saturday November 3, Milk Factory Pop Up Gallery, 33 Station Street Bowral, 10am - 5pm.
Artist David Welch’s works are available for viewing this weekend. David is constantly looking for an image that breathes life into a frozen moment in time and makes a connection with the viewer.

4 – Heritage roses at Harpers, Sunday November 4, Harper's Mansion, 9 Wilkinson St, Berrima, 10:30am – 4:30pm.
Over 100 heritage roses have come into bloom at Harper's Mansion in Berrima. The roses date pre-1900. Their scent is as lovely as their appearance. Adults $8, Seniors $7 and children under 16 free.
5 – To Market to market.
Exeter Markets – Exeter Village Hall, Exeter Road, Saturday Novemeber 3, 9.00AM - 1.30PM.
A country market with a vibrant community of over 40 sellers, producers and makers in one of the most beautiful settings in the Southern Highlands.
Bundanoon Makers Market –Soldiers Memorial Hall, Railway Ave Bundanoon, Sunday November 4, 8.30am - 2pm.
A market for the craftsmith. Leather work, silver jewellery and all you need for meals during the week.
