Residents will get the opportunity to meet their local solar providers to ask any questions about solar they may have as well as the Office of Environment and Heritage who will be demystifying energy in the goal of saving money, energy, and the planet.
There will also be a fun activity for children to make their own solar-powered lantern to take home.
Entertainment will be provided by the Moss Vale High band and keyboard and violin duo, Mabelle Duo.
A sausage sizzle will be provided but Organiser Jenny Kena encourages the community to bring their own blanket.
“I do hope people stay to the end of the night so people can experience all the things that are happening,” she said.
“There will be a few surprises on the night,” she promised.
The event will run from 6pm to 9.30 on March 24 at Southern Highlands Botanic Garden, Bowral.
