Motorists are reminded Operation Safe Arrival, the state’s Christmas and New Year road safety campaign, started at 12.01am on December 15 and ends at 11.59pm on January 1.
Double demerits are in place for all speeding, mobile phone, seatbelt and motorcycle-helmet offences.
The double demerit period runs for eleven days – from December 22 until January 1 inclusive.
Police have urged people to take more care on the roads as Christmas approaches.
The road toll since Operation Safe Arrival began stands at 11 on Saturday morning, with three people dying in road crashes on Friday.
