The girls were a vision of class in a variety of stunning long white gowns while the boys cut dapper figures suited-up for the college’s much-anticipated annual Presentation Ball.
The Arabian Nights themed event was one to remember for the excited students and their guests.
About 600 students and guests gathered in the school’s McGrath Hall for the special occasion.
Not only were the students transformed, but the hall was also almost unrecognisable as a team of busy volunteers and college staff had reinvented the building as an Arabian Nights scene fit for Aladdin.
There were a bejewelled displays, Arabian-inspired silhouettes on the walls, a yellow carpet to signify the desert sand, draped silk fabrics at the entrance. There was even a camel, which answered to the name of Moose, on hand as a welcome surprise for guests as the arrived for the evening.
Guest of honour for the evening was a former Chevalier College student Lieutenant Colonel Philippa (Pip) Cleary who told the students there were “many paths you can take in life, but make sure you enoy the ride.”
“Especially make sure you enjoy these last years of school as they are truly special and best of luck with your HSC and all future endeavours,” she said.
