Guest speakers Joy and Allan Murrin have researched family history for more than 40 years. Their Family History Services business now includes the providing of Birth, Death and Marriage transcription and certificate services for England/Wales, Scotland, Victoria and New Zealand.
They offer a vast array of knowledge, and continue to find pleasure in assisting others find joy in family history. They are the parents of six children, and grandparents to seventeen grandchildren (and counting).
Joy and Allan have visited family history libraries and centres throughout the world, and since 1989 have been volunteer librarians at the Mortdale LDS Family History Centre.
In 1995 Joy was appointed as an Accredited Transcription Agent by the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Their Family History Services business has grown to include the providing of Birth, Death and Marriage transcription and certificate services for England/Wales, Scotland, Victoria and New Zealand.
The talk is a must for local people interested in learning more about family history and the use of research tools such as the Australian BDM Civil Registration Index, NSW Early Church Records and NSW Birth, Death & Marriage Indexes.
